As of May 25 there will be an increase of $5 for equipment hire to non UQ canoe club members.

The UQ Canoe Club will be entering a team in this years South Bank competition.

It's that time again! Join us at the boat shed on Friday June 4 for a BBQ. Food and softdrink is free for all members. Kicking off at 5:30pm at going until the last person leaves, it will be a great opportunity to meet other club members and have a chat about past or future trips.

Every Saturday morning at 7:30 am members can come down for a social paddle and also receive quality instruction from our new club instructor.

Canoe Club secretary Nathan Wedding is now a qualified flatwater instructor and is available to help members with all aspects of boat handling and paddling technique

Semester 2 is the time to learn how to paddle in white water. After the success of past beginners sessions the club is scheduling more intro days for white water

The club BBQ is now available at no cost for members to use at the boat shed. If you would like to get together with some fellow members for a BBQ by the river, let the equipment officer know when you would like to book it for and it is all yours! The BBQ cannot however, be removed from the boat shed area.

The following nights (May 18 ,25 and June 1) will be mostly for the development of basic skills. The aim is to help get members to a confident playing level for the South Bank competition that starts on Saturday June 12 at 10 am.

As of May 25 There will be an increase of $5 for equipment hire to non UQ canoe club members. That means $10 each night if you are not a member of UQ canoe club . this has come from the committee. If you want to discuss this with them let me know.People bring there own equipment only have to pay the usual $5.
